Giving Back, Putting Money Into Perspective
Teaching a child the importance of giving back to those less fortunate may be one of the most valuable lessons they can learn.
Any parent can attest to their child going through the "mine" stage. It's human nature from its earliest stages to want comfort and security in their possessions and surroundings. However, as a parent, it's important to teach your child the significance of giving back.
It's not always easy to explain to a child how "need" and "want" are two very difference necessities to life. Even though your child may beg and plead that they need that new toy, it's important they know that even though they want it, they don't really need it. One of the best ways to encourage giving behavior is by putting it into perspective.
Perhaps your child wants a new, expensive toy. Explain to them that as much as they want the toy, there are children in the world that can't afford any toys. Offering to buy them a different (and less expensive toy) shows them the importance of not being selfish. Also, propose to your child that together you can buy an inexpensive toy with the difference and donate it to someone less fortune.
This lesson curves selfish behavior into a selfless act and building a charitable heart. By including your child in the decision to take less in order to give more, it allows them to understand more clearly why they don't need everything they want.
As your child grows older, lessons such as these can be a springboard into smart financial decisions. Donating old toys, clothing and other household items show the value of items to different people. By teaching your child to be efficient with their belongings, they may be more inspired to make the most of the money they have.
There are many ways a child can get involved and give back as they grow older. Organizations such as St. Jude Children's Research, and Habitat for Humanity to name a couple offer opportunities for your child to get involved, give back and put the world into a better perspective. Talk to your child and find out what's important to them, then set up a charity goal so the idea of giving is always in front of them.
Giving back teaches your child the skills of being able to do more with less. This lesson will roll over into many aspects of their lives, including a true understanding of financial needs and wants. The better they understand this difference, the more likely they will make smart financial decisions as they get older.

Monetizing Social Investments That Can Make You Smile...
I like to think of my social investments as careful thought out opportunities, an opportunity for me to help myself while I help others at the same time. With the economic recession taking it's toll, it pays to use these so small opportunities as a way to help you and your family to make ends meet. Don't you owe that to yourself?
Here's some questions to ask yourself:
- What benefit is there to me in working with this company? Can I really recommend it proudly to others as a company that does what they say?
- What is my cost for joining?
- Can I help and benefit others with this service?
Take your first 30 days on me and make the social investment in yourself. Check it out, do the test drive and get into the habit of helping yourself and others, It's a win-win that's a home run! Sign up today.

Bold New Ideas For 2010: Community In Action

The New Year is here and already I've got the calendars and the planning tools out. This year, I plan to be smart and to work in concert with my friends and business partners to do my part to make 2010 successful. Sooo, what are some things you can do to get the ball rolling and motivate your friends and business partners to do the same?
1) Communicate. Call them up and ask what they are doing and share ideas. Facebook, Twitter and MySpace are good too. No man/woman is an island and your profit ideas will never work in a vacuum. So share them with your friends and business pals.
2) Write down goals and then work to make them happen. If you are part of a team, talk to your team members and talk about how you will work together to get things moving. Set time frames and hold to them. Action makes plans work so plan some actions into your goals.
3) Support and ask for support. Get out and visit your friends and business partners endeavors and let them know they have your support. Encourage them and then ask them to support you too. If they got a blog, ask them if they want you to do a guest post to help add content to what they are trying to accomplish. Network, it's what successful people do.
4) Read, study and educate yourself. Now is the time of the year when you should plan going to seminars, taking courses and getting yourself more educated about the finer points of your business. Seek out the most knowledgeable people in your business and see what they are endorsing as good courses to take or professional seminars to attend. This is how you learn to get better at what you do and stay ahead of the competition.
What are your plans? Do you have a favorite course to recommend to others or are there things you have done that make it easier to work with your friends or business partners. If so, leave your comment and share it here! Have a great week!

Struggling in America: The Need For Improving Recession Cycle Personal Finances

It's true that there is a recession going on all around us. No doubt you know people who have had their homes foreclosed, cars repossessed, or lost their job without being able to find a new one. While this is devastating news, the facts are probably worse. The truth is that the recently unemployed needing cash are not all counted in the unemployment figures you hear and there are a lot of folks out there looking for a solution.
I have seen a lot of people start to look for online income to improve their recession cycle personal finances. One way to do this is to employ personal affiliate financial strategies. Affiliate marketing is free to get into in a lot of cases, can help you and other people that you tell about it, and is one of the simpler ways to help improve your personal cash bottom line. A lot of people are awed by it and unfamiliar with it and this may be the reason for them choosing not to try it out for fear they may fail.
The fact is, people are what make affiliate marketing work and there is no shame in earning a living referring products and services to other people and getting paid. The principle of people is what Investworks is all about and earning simply and teaching others how to do the same. The axiom of giving a man a fish versus teaching him to fish and feeding his hunger for life is true. Learn how to end the struggle by starting with the power of you and three partners who can get past the poverty of recession by embracing the idea of community and money.
Start today and see how easy developing your own personal affiliate financial strategy can be. Check out Investworks, sign up with me and lets get started now. Even if you are recently unemployed, looking for extra income for your family, seeking to stretch your dollar or looking for ways to start a business without the financial headache, Investworks is your answer!
